Legal Clinic

The Marquette University Legal Clinic began operating as a free walk-in clinic at the House of Peace in January of 2002. It utilizes volunteer attorneys, paired with volunteer Marquette University Law School students, to provide legal information and referrals. During 2004, the clinic served about 800 individuals with issues ranging from family law (including child custody, child support, foster care, domestic violence and guardianship), landlord-tenant issues, employment issues, consumer law and a host of other legal issues. The clinic does not offer services in the criminal law area.
