Guided by the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi, faith is the driving force at the House of Peace. Prayer begins each weekday morning in the chapel, 6:40 AM. Sundays, 8:00 AM. .

Prayers are 1) offered for the guests who come through the door each day, 2) the benefactors who give so generously of their time, talent and treasure, and 3) for our community so it may one day live in Christ’s Peace.

It is this spiritual dimension that sets the House of Peace apart from so many other social services agencies. One can sense this spirit the moment you pass through its doors. The caring and gentle nature of all who serve at the House of Peace is a direct reflection of the passion for service to the poor that was exemplified by both Br. Booker and Fr. Matthew.
